Other Holidays and Celebrations

“You must know that there is nothing higher and stronger and more wholesome and good for life in the future than some good memory, especially a memory of childhood, of home. People talk to you a great deal about your education, but some good, sacred memory, preserved from childhood, is perhaps the best education.” – Fyodor Dostoyevsky.

National holidays and special celebrations are not just the more well-known, such as Easter, St. Patrick’s Day, Christmas, etc. Many other little holidays and festivals are very rarely considered. Still, they present an excellent opportunity for teachable moments since they can break the normal routine and allow you to show your preschoolers fun and educational activities that will excite your kiddos and encourage them to learn.
