Other Holidays and Celebrations
“You must know that there is nothing higher and stronger and more wholesome and good for life in the future than some good memory, especially a memory of childhood, of home. People talk to you a great deal about your education, but some good, sacred memory, preserved from childhood, is perhaps the best education.” – Fyodor Dostoyevsky
National holidays and special celebrations are not just the more known such as Easter, St. Patrick’s Day, Christmas, etc. There are many other little holidays and celebrations that are very rarely taken into consideration, but I believe they present a great opportunity for teachable moments since they can break the normal routine and allows you to present your preschoolers with fun and educational activities that will excite your kiddos and encourage them to learn.
This page is a collection of different activities for these little holidays and celebrations.
