This FREE Bee Alphabet Matching Game will be a great addition to your World Bee Day celebration on May 20th.
Preschoolers will love matching the letters in this hands-on alphabet game. It also fits perfectly with your Insects theme.

This Bees Alphabet Matching Game comes with two types of beehives: a flower and a honeycomb with uppercase letters, and three different bees with lowercase letters. You can get this game at the end of this post.
Benefits of Alphabet Matching Games for Preschoolers
Alphabet matching games help preschoolers develop the ability to recognize letters in both uppercase and lowercase and associate printed text with spoken language.
This type of game also keeps preschoolers engaged, entertaining them and helping them learn the letters of the alphabet easily and quickly. Once they recognize the letters and master their names, children can learn letter sounds more easily, mainly because many letter names sound similar to the sounds those letters make.
Bee Alphabet Matching Game
This Bee Alphabet Matching Game is very easy to prepare, with a handful of materials and very little time.
You will only need:
- Printer.
- White cardstock.
- Scissors.
- Laminator.
- Laminator pouches.
- Transparent Velcro dots (optional)
Since this is a hands-on alphabet game, print the pages on white cardstock and cut out the pictures. For durability, laminate everything. To use it as a folder game, paste the items with uppercase letters into a manila folder.
You can also place transparent Velcro dots on top of the uppercase items and behind the bees. The pieces will stick together as the child matches the letters.

Read to your children every day, at least once. Books help children feel connected, better understand what you are talking about, and learn vocabulary, among many other essential benefits.
Many books address bees, both fictional and non-fictional. You can find books about these incredible insects at your local library, used bookstore, and on Amazon.
