Christmas Dot-to-Dot Activity for Preschoolers

I can’t believe Thanksgiving is gone and Christmas is just around the corner. In my school, we take things slowly around the holidays, but you know that when children are busy, they don’t get in trouble; therefore, it is always a good choice to get them engaged in learning activities regardless of the season, even when they think they are just playing.

Christmas Dot-to-Dot Activities

There so much going on during the holidays, that you will need simple no pre-activities to keep things going. You can use these FREE Christmas Dot-to-Dot activities to teach math to your preschoolers during Christmas. They will save time for you and will keep your kiddos entertained while learning.

These activities are perfect because they are fun and it is just a matter of printing and going.  You can use them in your classroom, at home, in the car, where ever you want.  They are that simple!

What’s Included

This printable includes a total of 8 pages (5 pages to print), featuring an ornament, a Santa’s hat, a present, a Christmas tree, and an elf.  All of these pages provide different levels of difficulty.

What to Do

One of the good things about this printable is that it will take very little time on your part to put it together. You just have to print each page using white paper and give each child one page at a time.  Have them use a pencil, crayon, or marker to trace the picture. 

If you want to use the pages multiple times, you have to print them out in white cardstock and laminate them or place them in dry-erase pockets.

How to Use The Printables

Have the children identify the number 1 to start tracing.  Instruct them to follow the numbers starting with 1, and say the name of each number as they trace the picture. When they finish, they can color the pictures.

Books About Christmas for Preschoolers

I always recommend reading to your kids, as much as you can.  Reading is a fantastic way to improve your children’s comprehension and vocabulary but also helps them develop their imagination and their pre-writing and pre-reading skills.

Fill your library, centers, and book baskets with a great collection of books about Christmas. Most of them can be found at your local library or used bookstore, but you also can order them on Amazon, to add to your collection.
