Print each page on white cardstock, then cut out the eggs and divide them by cutting along the dotted lines on each one. Laminate all the parts to make them last longer. To protect them, place them in a small basket or a Ziploc bag.
How To Use Activity
This activity can be played individually or with a partner. Children must select one egg half, identify the letter on it, find the matching half, and put them together to form the egg.
If your kids are starting to learn letter names, let them begin with just a few. Then, you can add two or three more letters every time they play.
When your kiddos know all the letter names, have them say each letter’s sound as they match the eggs’ halves.

Other Ideas
- To give the children another activity option, you can have them match the letter with magnetic, wooden, or foam letters.
- They can find words that start with all or some of the letters and match them with the appropriate egg.
- You can combine this activity with my Dinosaurs Counting Mats, which are also free.
